My Background

I was born in Syracuse, NY on September 25, 1979 and lived there for the first 8 years of my life.  Since then I've lived in Liverpool, which is about 20 minutes from Syracuse.  In 1997 I graduated from Liverpool High School; in December 2000 I graduated from Syracuse University with a degree in English & Textual Studies (and a minor in psychology).  For the first two years of college I was also majoring in education, but dropped that in September 1999 and decided to focus on writing, specifically poetry.

I've been with CJ Munoz since February 28, 1998; we were married on April 2, 2005.  We've been living together in Liverpool since buying our house in January 2005.  From August 2001 - September 2008 I worked at Syracuse Opera where I was the Patron Services & Company Manager.  In July 2009 I was hired at WCNY as the Executive Administrative Assistant, then became their Membership Coordinator in November 2009.

Interests/Hobbies

One of my two biggest interests is music.  I have played the piano since the age of 5 and was in choirs from 4th grade through college.  My favorite type of music is R&B, although I like most other genres.  At my music page you can see some of my favorite songs and albums.

My other major interest is writing.  I keep a daily, detailed journal and write poetry.  Check out my poetry page if you'd like to see some of my poems!

daydreaming, organizing, scrapbooking, candles, snow/cold weather, and food.
